Salt & Light

Our beach house is a three-bedroom “salt box” style beach cottage located on the second row. You can see and hear the surf from the front patio, and two private beach accesses shared by our block are only a couple houses away in each direction! It is a wonderfully relaxing location on a quiet beach. The neighborhood includes only a few streets of private houses with sidewalks and street lamps – if you want hustle and bustle it’s not here.

Our house is centrally located between two of the main island hubs: the Surf City Pier is just under 3-miles north, and the Topsail Beach Pier is about 3-miles to the south. It’s a great trek for biking, running, or even walking with sidewalks and bike lanes along the main roads. There are several small shops and great restaurants each way. It is also only a quick 10-minute drive on Rt-50 to Wal-Mart, Lowes, CVS, and other major stores and restaurants on the mainland. One of our favorite places is Jebby’s on 17, a little restaurant with fantastic food!

The house is a two-story layout with the great room, dining area, kitchen, and bedroom 1 with a bathroom and shower on the first floor. Bedrooms 2 & 3 are on the second floor and share a jack-and-jill style bathroom between that has a full bathtub. From the second floor balcony, you can see the surf through the skylights!
